CASE OF THE YEAR
The VPCA Case of the Year award recognizes heroes on both ends of the leash for exceptional performance of their duties during difficult circumstances. Many of the cases are submitted by K9 Supervisors for member agencies and symbolize the standard of excellence our members represent. Members vote on cases submitted throughout the year for each discipline; Patrol, Narcotics, Explosives, and Search & Rescue. Members who have been nominated are not allowed to vote for their own discipline but may vote for the others in which they are not part of. The awards are presented during the annual meeting. All suspects are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
Complete the nomination form with the synopsis as you want it to appear on the VPCA website. You may submit as many cases in each discipline as you wish on separate forms. Cases must have occurred during the calendar year up for nominations. Cases must be submitted by end of day January 15th of the following year.
